Cupcakes by Tracey Special Cakes

These Spiderman Cupcakes are every childs super hero. If your child wants a Super hero theme, the Superman colors compliment. You can also coordinate your cupcakes with spider cupcakes.

You may want to make Spiderman Cupcake Cake. I would decorate with blue, yellow and red napkins and balloons.

Spiderman Cupcakes

To start, bake your favorite cupcake and white icing as desired.

  1. Tint your icings red, yellow, and blue and black.
  2. Frost as per photos show.
  3. Fill a pastry bag with the black icing, and practice making lines a bit with the Wilton Tip.The round tips #'s 1-12 work well. Choose which works best for you.
  4. Make a large circle around the outside of the cupcake.
  5. Make a small cirlce in the middle.
  6. On top of the circles, draw a large X across each side.
  7. Fill in eyes with white icing.

A Spiderman cupcake cake is a cute idea too. This is a cake with spider cupcake decoration around the cake, by Tracey. You can bake a round cake, or any shape you like, and purchase an edible transfer for it. How easy is that. It makes your spider cupcake decorating a snap.

Spider Cupcakes

  1. Frost your cupcake red.
  2. Draw a black icing dot in the center of your cupcake.
  3. Draw a large black circle around the center.
  4. Take a toothpick of the edge of a paintbrush or sharp knife, or use a drawing tool, and pull the icing outward to look like a web.

**The design can be accomplished by filling a pastry bag with icing and snipping off the end. A decorating frosting gel that you can buy the grocery store, party store or craft store also works well and is convenient.

Party ideas:

For favors:

Get red sun visors at the party store, and draw spider webs with a Sharpie. Give the kids spider rings. The party store has cute plastic spider rings around Halloween time. You can order them online anytime. For a table cover , AC Moore usually has inexpensive large bandanas that have a spider web on them. You can place them in the middle of the table. Or, all over. Or, you could consider buying one for each child, and rolling up some take home goodies in them.

Watch out, here comes the Spiderman!
