Hello Kitty Cupcake Cake

Chocolate Cupcakes Recipe

Ingredients

• 2 cups all purpose flour
  
• 2 cups sugar
  
• 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
  
• 1 teaspoon salt
  
• 1 teaspoon baking soda
  
• 1/2 cup shortening
  
• 3/4 cup water
  
• 2 large eggs
  
• 3/4 cup milk
  
• 1 teaspoon vanilla
  
• 4 ounces melted unsweetened baking chocolate
  

1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
   
2. Line cupcake pans with paper or foil liners.
   
3. Combine all ingredients into your mixing bowl.
   
4. Mix on high speed for approximately 3 minutes.
   
5. Fill cupcake liners 2/3 full.
   
6. Bake 20 to 25 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
   
7. Cool completely.
   
8. Once cupcakes cool, they are ready to be frosted and decorated.
   

• 1/2 cup unsalted butter
  
• 4 cups powdered sugar
  
• 1/2 teaspoon salt
  
• 1/3 cup milk
  
• 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  

Instructions

1. Place butter in a bowl and blend with mixer until it becomes a soft, creamy consistency.
   
2. Add remaining ingredients until well blended, and makes frosting consistency.
   
   

Suggested Decorating Directions

1. Line up your cupcakes to make your desired shape.
   
2. Spread top with butter cream.
   
3. Melt you candy melts,and pipe on your kitty face and writing, using pastry bag, or use a frozen buttercream transfer.
   
4. Pipe on the outside decorating with the butter cream icing,tinting to desired color.
   
5. Use edile glitter to decorate inside kitty's face as desired.
